I'm not sure what I see in this painting. The colors are great and he is handing her a flower. Just making friends, I guess. Have a great Sunday Nancy and thank you for the very nice comment on my blog. Take care.
I love the connection between and the diversity of the participants..
and the feeling that love ( I.e. symbolized by the pink of the flowers) can bypass all of differences in the moment.
The orange is symbolic to me and speaks of the courage to go forward.( as in socially and personally).....If any of that is true it is the universal invitation to reach out , touch and salute the differences with gestures of acceptance and kindness...and so what results is growth (green) and spritual meaning (purple)
So....thanks for the invitation

A SONG FROM THE FIFTIES
One-eyed, one-horned, flying
Purple People Eater said..
I have this real dumb song,
Going round inside my head/
They wrote this tune about me.
In Nineteen Fifty-Eight.
Or was it Fifty-nine?
Not sure about the date.
This stupid song will surely,
Drive me totally insane,
So I went to see if Green-Nose
Could help me ease the pain.
He went out to his garden,
Found some strange weed growing there
I ate it and the song remains,
But now I just don't care
Arthur's art is always fascinating and exceptionally well thought out. The images and the theme unite in his paintings in a bold and clear way. He has a natural gift for composition which gives the expression impact.
How sweet this artwork is! It reminds me of the importance of friendship. It also takes me back to when I was a child. My friendships seemed to be simpler then. When we wanted to play, we played. When we wanted to be alone, that's what we did. Perhaps my memory fails me now that I'm older, but back then I made friends with everyone who made me feel good. It didn't matter how old they were, or what they looked like. And, I've learned these simple rules all over again. Friendship is about love and caring. No more, no less.
In this particular case I am betting on pure innocence and kindness.

I've seen Arthur's artwork on Etsy and just love it! You are a very talented young man, and this one is a perfect symbol for friendship.
You are the best, better than all the rest. (This should be read in song-speak.)
1. No kidding, happens all the time, where I am what?
2. No problem.
3. Ditto.
4. Har har.
