His wings are quite colorful in comparison with the wings of the others, which are black. There seems an envy or hostility going on in this illustration.

I used this cool picture to inspire some creative writing with a class of 12 year olds - ended up with lots of angels/fairies/heavenly creatures featuring! Several students independently called the figure on the right 'Plumface'.
