Ha..this butterfly is wise. It understands that this crocodile is merely an extension of the earth, like a tree. Eventually, most humans will catch up to this understanding. In nature, individualism is not counted as a cardinality--it does not exist because basic survival argues against it. Splendid prompt tonight.

Butterfly to croc:

I'm merely trying to get a little sun. You don't have to foul mouth me.

Have a great week.

Tell this butterfly about the Crocodile, brief it about the cruelity of the Croc..and

It would in no case think of sitting where it is sitting right now..

Just like - In our lives, we are so much aware of our fears that we never try risking any luxury, any comfort at any cost...

But history is evident that those who step into new foray are those who find their names in the history books...

"Good Morning" said the butterfly,
to the still half-sleeping croc.
I came to bid you farewell.
I'm off to join the flock.

The croc replied "be careful,
on your journeys near and far.
I'd hate to see you wind up,
in some dumb collecting jar."

(poem by Therese L. Broderick of Albany, NY, USA)

ELECTION

Some in science say that birds
evolved from the oldest crocodiles,
that flight began with a lizard,
his legs feathered and splayed,
who took a running start on the ground,
scampered up a jungle tree
and leaped into the air, gliding far
to another green trunk to catch
with sticky extended tongue
the winged insect pausing there,
molting for yet another season.
How much like me that creature was:
as soon as it wins some airborn power,
it preys upon a fragile brother.

What a beautiful shot! I love the juxtaposition of the delicate insect so close to the peril of the crocidile! :)
Well done!

His name is Mr. Big. They all fear Mr. Big.
He's a big and cranky, vicious, mean ol' cuss.
They fear they'll get the toss from angry Mr. Big, "The Boss"
But I really, really cannot see the fuss.

Mr. Big's a great guy! A friendly, happy, nice guy -
Though he is somewhat selective of his peers.
You must look him in the eye. Be respectful. Don't be shy
Or he'll chew you up; he won't shed any tears.
