The stone cottage waits;
white linen snaps in the breeze
before the spring rain.

Hanging the white sheets,
I hear the ravens calling
black feathers ruffle.

Beyond the clothes line...there....deep in the woods. Look closely! Do you see it?

Sheets are Hanging
hung with joy
drying in sun

I don't know how to do haiku but I am aware of the rules. Sorry. That's mine.
Have a great day.

Never tried haiku before
I just love the painting
and dropped by to say hello.

Shedding shirts to beat the heat
Blasted mosquitoes!

FAMILY SIZE

When I see laundry on the line,
It almost makes me shudder,
Cause it brings about the memory of
My 20 baby brothers

Birth Control was something,
Of which Papa held no worth,
And Mama turned professional,
At the art of giving birth

Growing old, my Papa realized,
Things were getting pretty rough,
So he went to see a doctor,
When he decided "Enough's enough"

Kiddingly, the doctor joked,
"It's time to cut it off"
Well, Papa took him literally,
Today, he just plays golf.
