I think I've mentioned it before. I've been wanting to take the NAPA train for their dinner and wine and just the beautiful wineries that they stop at and the scenery is awesome. We will when the time is right.
Have a great week.

My dad would love that painting. He is a collector of all things railroad.

P.S. thanks for visiting Three Words!

TRACK

I still listen in to the whistle of a train
I'm no longer planning to ride, the one headed
out of town, east to the big city.

From my kitchen seven miles away, I hear its
Not Yoooo. Not Yoooo. Not Yoooo.
As if its mighty engine were still stoking for me.

It isn't.

Tweedles -- that's me said...

I was born a train-mans daughter.
Time took me back to a time when I stood at the tracks of the passing train, watching with anticipation as the cars traveled by. And then the last car came into site, and I remember waving with a smile on my face, that turned to tears as I remembered my dad was no longer on earth. I was born a trainmans daugter.
As the whistle blew , I said good bye for the last time,,,, again,,,,as sometimes I forget, and it happens all the time.
Good bye daddy.

'I'm sitting in the railway station.
Got a ticket for my destination.
On a tour of one-night stands my suitcase and guitar in hand.
And ev'ry stop is neatly planned for a poet and a one-man band.
Homeward bound,
I wish I was,
Homeward bound,
Home where my thought's escaping,
Home where my music's playing,
Home where my love lies waiting
Silently for me.'

Trains are so romantic. The only train I've ever travelled in is on the Amtrak, and that was far from being romantic. But this picture makes me dream of packing up and hitting the road. Leave all my earthly belongings for someone else to deal with, and just roam the countryside.

The sky is just beautiful!

RUN OUT OF TOWN ON A RAIL

"WHOO, WHOO" the whistle blows,
The locomotive gasps,
This old iron horse will soon be,
Just a relic of the past.

It's sad to see it go,
In it's day it served us well.
But as a big polluter,
It's critics give it Hell.

Voluminous clouds of black smoke,
Follow its journey down the track,
It's no wonder that the EPA,
Is forever on it's back.
