Writing Prompt Idea
According to Swiss psychiatrist, Dr. Carl G. Jung,
we all have our shadow sides.
That side of us, whether dark or light, that we
repress or hold back. Shadow writing is a method to try and
reconnect ourselves with our shadow self.
I found a blog posting, by Minerva,
that clearly describes this process HERE

OR
It can also be an interesting tool for writing fiction.
Writing from or about that part of us we dislike, that is.
(Ex: jealousy, anger, impatience, greed, etc.)
Whether on this blog or in private,
write about your shadow self.

My shadows are preventing me from sleeping tell them to stop following me !!!!!!
NO LIGHT = SHADOWS
We often take for granted,
Our shadow on the ground.
It lurks beneath our feet
And doesn't make a sound.
But deep within its darkness,
A message has been hidden
That speaks of life itself,
Of which so much is written
The darkness of the shadow,
Evokes images of dark things
Of evil, sorrow, tragedy,
And all the pain that brings.
A shadow's like a vapor,
That blends into the night,
It owes its fleeting presence
To the absence of the light.
Our lives can be a darkened shadow,
From a troubled, saddened mind
Unless we open up our hearts,
And let His bright light shine.
Meaning to remain lit from within...
R U awake ?
Come in the sun it will reveal my shadow
When I am drenched by the light my shadow doen't exit but when I change and expose myself to a different time my shadows grows. Will it never leave me ? Right before disappearing it is the longest then be enveloped by darkness.
I cover my eyes and rest with hope in the light that made me grow to embrace my day with outstretch arms that I can control my shadow depending on where I go.
My shadow does not walk beside me.
It follows.
Where ever I turn -they are.
Memories become shadows that chase, and haunt.
I am looking for shadows to walk towards me, and then turn and let me follow.
To lead me to myself,,,
Not to where I have been.
Tweedles
does this shadow make my butt look big?
while my mind entertains the fragrant imagery of long ago
realty pushes forward with every mirror i pass
it seems my only friend lay stretched across the sidewalk
long and lean, elegantly mirroring my movements
and all is well in my mind's eye once again
'I think we're being followed. And they're crawling right behind us'.
Greetings from London.
