Red roses cover
a vintage white wedding gown
symbolizing love.
She floated the dress carefully,
dropped roses like adornments
atop a cake;
Ripples in dark water spread
as she walked from the edge.
No Ophelia she.
I read the last words from her tear stained diary.
Her dying wish was, to be placed in the sea, and allow the lap of the waves carry her away.
