mend a broken heart
SUPER GLUE OF THE HEART
Her precious little baby,
Was shunned by kids at school,
"It's a shabby, worn-out doll",
They taunted, being cruel.
It broke her heart to hear them,
Ridicule and jeer so bad,
She loved her little friend,
And it made them both feel sad.
But glue and tape and stitches,
Can't mend a heart that's broken,
It took tender words of love,
From the girl, so gently spoken.
And so it is with humans,
When the path turns dark and gray,
We need words of love and caring,
From a friend to light the way.
