We let go of so many things. Old dreams, old images, past hurts, past glories. The departed.

Wisdom is knowing which things to let go of and which to keep close.

Tweedles -- that's me said...

I won't let go.
I can't let go.
Don't you know?
I can't let go.
I am sorry,,,,
I told you so.
Please wake up

LET GO, NO. HOLD ON, YES.

Letting go is something,
I just can't bring to mind,
If at all it means forgetting,
Leaving memories behind.

Cos the beauty of your spirit,
And the kindness in your soul,
I know I'll always cherish,
Your love had made me whole.

It brings a sadness to my heart,
Not to look upon your face,
Your caring eyes, and tender words,
Your smile so full of grace.

You'll be my inspiration,
Like the rays of sun at dawn,
Burning deep inside of me,
Your memory still lives on.

The art of living lies in a fine mingling of letting go and holding on.And,damn, there are so many things to hold on in such a piece of Art.I guess that means it has a life of its own.

In my mind,an old song from Frou Frou is moving in circles. It goes something like this:
'...so let go, jump in
oh well, whatcha waiting for
it's alright/
'cause there's beauty in the breakdown.'

If you learn to fall, maybe one day you'll learn to fly as well.

Let Go.
For I Can not.
For I am afraid.
Afraid, Do not Fear.
For today is just another day and tomorrow will again be Today.

When

As soon as I wake up
(but not just yet)
I'll open my stone fingers
and let drop the watertight reins
I braid to leash the memory of you.

As soon as I wake up
(but not just yet)
I'll stand up and jump
deep into the muddy ocean
I stir to drown the memory of you.

As soon as I wake up
I'll feel my way out
of this mirror
hall I built as a shield
against the memory of you.

But not just yet.

what we have grown to live with, even when it is damning to our soul, can be almost impossible to let go of!

Upon the Earth, each day I go
A situation that I grieve
For all my hopes to drift away
The gravity won't let me leave
