WHY? said...

When I am drowning in my sorrow, only the trees can comfort me and not tell me how I should feel. In their shadows, I can hide safely, and know that my secrets will not be revealed.

What is it about trees that make me feel this way? Perhaps, I do not need to understand. Only walk into the woods and breathe the cool air.

Tweedles -- that's me said...

Gracefully the giants
stood in silence

only the whispering
of the wind
and
warm rays of the sun
could be felt
on my skin

solitude
they shared

drew me closer
and closer

nothing
could pull me away
nothing
ever.

Into the shy woods
I make my curious path;
leaves soft and trodden.

2012?

Nestled in the forest,
Surrounded by the wood,
Has been sometimes a comfort,
Secure, and safe, and good.

But a change has taken place,
A gloom pervades the trees,
That clouds the mind of reason,
And puts the spirit ill at ease.

The time is drawing nearer,
To escape the fog we're under,
Fear, and greed, and malice,
Will soon be thrown asunder.

The mist is slowly lifting,
See it rising in the air,
Doubts join the fleeing shadows,
The way ahead is clear.

And so, perhaps, we'll reach that point,
Like the land must greet the sea,
When we step into the light of Grace,
And embrace our destiny.
