LONE STAR STATEment
The blackened, shapeless void,
That constitutes the night,
Reveals a pin-prick hole...
A single point of light.
Where are all the other stars,
That made our nights so bright?
They used to fill the heavens,
In a wondrous, cosmic sight.
Well, people all lost interest,
And started to ignore them,
Folks tuned into their TVs,
In a state of utter boredom.
After sundown came each day,
Solid darkness fell about,
Cos one by one, the unloved stars,
Blinked once, and then went out.
But one stubborn star remained,
To shed its lonely light,
In hopes that folks would look up,
And appreciate the sight.
I remembered you
in the darkness
when you searched
that big black sky
and when you found me
you wished upon me
I was your little star
I watched you from afar
and then you stopped
believing
and you stopped
wishing upon a star
but I still see you
in the darkness
Don't let me fade away.
They say that we can still see the light from a star that died a hundred years ago.
Is that why I can still see your face and hear your voice in the middle of the night?
For sky of darkness how would you live without that one tiny bright light that shines to help you see the way of life.
trees form their jagged silhouettes
as the sun descends from a darkened heaven
cities glow in the valley of Eden
and a violent star shines its last
all eyes have been shut off tonight
hands' of the slain raising a hallelujah
to their god on high
but the curtain could not hide his shadows
bodies drift in a stale breeze
now loosed from their ring of fire
upon the path incarnate
by the light of a dying star.
Star light
Star bright
Last star I see tonight
I wish I may
I wish I might
Live to see
The morning's light
i feel the breeze flowing in the stillness of this pinhole moonlight.
its the sparkle in the eye of my god that lays leisurously in the sky in the midnight.
don't ask me why but i can try the sstaircase of death just to reach the infinity where lies this pinlight, so quite, so cool, so serene!
